Luca holds a degree in Political Science (2011) from the University of Santiago de Compostela and Official Master's Degree in International Migration: Migration Policy specialization (2012) from the University of A Coruña. She has been a grant holder in the Department of Political Science at the University of Santiago de Compostela (2010-2011) where she worked the issues of citizen participation and public policy analysis.

Currently she is working on her doctoral thesis on applicants for Spanish nationality through the seventh additional provision of the law known as Ley de la Memoria Histórica which can do as descendants of the Spanish Republican exile in 1939, under the direction of Professor of Sociology Antonio Izquierdo Escribano.

His research work focuses mainly on: International Migration Law of Historical Memory, Exile, Public Policy Analysis and Public Participation.

  • "Barreiras ó Goberno electrónico. O emprego das TIC na política sanitaria autonómica. Un enfoque dende as relacións intergubernamentais". Funded by the Science and Innovation Ministry. Period: 2010-2012
  • “A trascendencia migratoria da Lei da Memoria Histórica”. Funded by the Economy and Competitivity Ministry. Period: 2011 - 2014.
