The Master’s Degree in Social Policy and Community Intervention (MOPS) focuses on specialisation in gender equality policies, migration studies and longevity. The programme stems from the emerging need for professional qualifications, as well as the need for the academic and scientific community to update their knowledge, enabling them to address the social issues currently arising. The Master’s programme is aimed at a broad group of students, primarily graduates from the fields of Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Social Education and Social Work; at the same time, it is of interest to graduates from other disciplines, particularly within the Social and Legal Sciences. The MOPS programme lasts for two academic years. During the first year, specialised training is provided in social policies, processes of exclusion and socio-community intervention, with modules covering theoretical, practical and methodological content. During the second year, students must choose a specialisation: Migration, Gender, or Longevity, Quality of Life and Intergenerational Relations. The programme culminates with an external internship and the Master’s Thesis (TFM).
