Anastasiya Shevchenko Shevchenko

Xunta de Galicia Predoctoral Researcher

Anastasiya Shevchenko Shevchenko is a predoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Sociology at the Universidade da Coruña, who is funded by the Xunta de Galicia. She graduated in 2017 and went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Social and Market Research Methods at the Universidade da Coruña. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Board of Directors (spokesperson) for the Sociology of Emotions Committee at the FES and she is currently working as a researcher with the Societies in Movement Research Team (ESOMI), where she is preparing her PhD thesis with supervision from Matilde Massó Lago.

Her research focuses on the dynamics of financial innovation and on traditionally excluded groups, such as the immigrant population. In her approach, she applies a sociology ‘with’ emotions to her analysis of the social context, and, in this case, financial exclusion.
