PHD researcher Galicia Investiga Igualdade 2025
Mª Isabel Rodríguez Doldán is a PHD researcher at the University of A Coruña (UDC) through the Galicia Investiga Igualdade 2025 programme.
Graduated in Sociology from the University of A Coruña in 2021 and also completed Master’s Degree in Social Policies and Socio-Community Intervention at the same university, specialising in migration in 2023. She has collaborated on two European projects, “Welcoming Spaces” in Europe: revitalising shrinking areas by hosting non-EU migrants, ID: 870952, developed in conjunction with eight other universities and funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 programme. And also “Care, inequality and Wellbeing in Transnational Families in Europe: A Comparative Intergenerational Study in Spain, France, Sweden and the UK (CAREWELL)”, funded by JPI.More Years.Better Lives and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Currently, under the supervision of Laura Oso and Keina Espiñeira, she is writing her doctoral thesis from the perspective of urban borderisation and biopolitics, analysing access to housing by migrant women in Galicia as a vector shaping the dynamics of spatial segregation and social exclusion.
