Laura Cobelo Parga

FPU Predoctoral Researcher

Laura Cobelo Parga is a predoctoral researcher within the grant call for University Teacher Training (FPU) 2022.

In her academic training, she graduated in Social Work from the USC in 2022 with the End of Degree Award from the Xunta de Galicia, subsequently obtaining a Master’s Degree in Advanced Research Methods and Innovation in Social Analysis (MIAS) from the UDC in 2023.

In her professional practice, she has experience in intervention in the fields of disability, dependence and oncology, with special interest in the democratisation and accessibility of new technologies as a means of social inclusion.

In her research orientation, her main interest covers phenomena linked to the climate crisis and natural disasters, carrying out her doctoral thesis on the migratory consequences derived from these problems, in the formulation of a model of eco-conscious and community-based social intervention, under the direction of Belén Fernández Suárez.
